We Made It!

Congratulations to the students of class 71FI and 81FI for successfully completing their year!  I have enjoyed working with you.  We have learned much together.

A sincere thank you for the generous and thoughtful gifts that I received.  The gifts and gift cards will be gratefully used this summer and into the fall as well!

To the new grade eights:  see you in September!  We will pick up where we left of and carry on!

Thinking Ahead to Grade Nine Math

From time to time, we get feedback from the high school math teachers here at Aldershot.  They generally report that our students are very well prepared for grade nine math.  I am sure that the students of class 81FI have been taught the important things that are required to lay a good foundation for future math learning.

Final Marks for Semester Two Report Cards

On Monday and Tuesday this week, I discussed report card marks with each student.  I do this to make sure that I have not made any mistakes.  Because of the large number of assignments handed in late, it is relatively easy to forget to record a mark for a student.  Also, some students have re-done a few assignments and sometimes I don't record the new mark in my markbook. "May Moments" Monthly Progress Report go home today

Please ask your child for the monthly report card and cover letter for the month of May.  As I explained in the letter, this is the last progress report that I will send.  The next report that you will receive will be the official report card for semester two, the last week of school.

Two important things to remember:
  1. The LAST DATE to hand in incomplete assignments from February to May is June 7.  I am not able to accept late or re-done assignments after that date.
