First period today Mr. Morrassut had an assembly for all elementary students to remind us of some school routines and rules. These routines and expectations have been posted in all classrooms. With the exception of hall passes, these are not new rules. We are simply restating them and encouraging students to make wise choices. (1) Arrive to class on time prepared. Other people are waiting. Bring what you need for two periods. (2) Head phones, i-pods and other electronic devices should not be visible during class time. (3) Cell phones are off during the day. If they are seen they will be submitted to the office. (4) Hats are to be worn outside only at break, not when walking to and from classes. (5) During breaks in your room please make sure you eat at your own desk and treat your desk as you would your home. (6) If you are in the hall during class time, you should have a pass to show that you have permission.
In order to have a successful and pleasant end of the year, we will be focusing on these routines and expectations for the next few months. It was also pointed out that students who struggle to manage their behaviour at school will not be candidates for year-end activities like the Blue Jays Game, the Camp Couchiching Trip and the Ottawa Trip.
If you have a moment, please chat with your son or daughter about these expectations. If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thanks!
