Today I sent home with the students of 71FI a progress report for the month of February. It is called February Feedback.    It includes a list of activities that I have evaluated since the last report card went home. The report also includes marks that your son or daughter received on each of these activities.  If there is a zero for the mark, it means that I did not receive the activity.  If there is an R, it means that the student completed it but did not demonstrate adequate understanding.

There are many opportunities for students to be successful.  Many times a student can re-do an assignment to demonstrate better understanding or stronger skills.  Several students take advantage of this.  Others do not.

I hope to send home a similar report each month, if time permits. At the end of first semester there were some students who had a variety of incomplete assignments, or some marks that were lower than they hoped for.  By sending a monthly report, my goal is to tighten up some timelines and help students and parents have a clearer idea of their progress more often throughout the term.

If you have any comments, questions or suggestions, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thanks!
